This handsome guy has an important job. As one of the boars (male pig) on the Odd Bird Farm in DeKalb, MO...Chauncey plays an important role in keeping the Meishan pig bloodline going. The Meishan pig is listed as critically endangered with the Livestock Conservancy. Less than 200 purebred births are registered each year. Luckily, we have folks that are working hard to prevent their extinction....and we have Chauncey, who is working hard to prevent their extinction too.
