Had the privilege of meeting Wazi while visiting the Odd Bird Farm outside of Kansas City, MO. Wazi is the farm mascot. She is one fine sow.
Did you know that the Meishan pigs are CRITICALLY in danger of extinction with less than 200 purebred births being recorded each year. Through my heritage breed photo project I hope to raise awareness through my photography. With the sale of my images, I am able to make a yearly donation to the Livestock Conservancy which is working to prevent extinction through education, breeding programs, small farmer grants, and more.
