Betty Lou is a little Kune Kune piglet that I got to meet on the Olde World Farm in Owensville, MO. This miniature piglet is part of my heritage breed photo project. I am hoping to photograph as many heritage breed animals in Missouri as possible for an upcoming book project and to raise awareness of rare breeds of livestock and poultry. Betty Lou is also featured in my image titled, "Pig In Straw".
I am visiting Missouri Farmers that are raising rare breeds of livestock and poultry in the hopes to do a book featuring these farmers and animals, while raising awareness that we have farm animals in danger of extinction. A portion of my proceeds will go to benefit these animals being protected by animal organizations dedicated to the preservation of rare breeds of farm animals.
