Shoo Fly - Arapawa Goat - Limited Edition
On this sunny summer day I caught a small fly in this image as I photographed this young Arawapa goat....thus the name...Shoo Fly. Despite living on a farm for nearly thirty years, I was not aware of the number of farm animals that are in danger of extinction. The Arawapa goat is one of these animals in desperate need of conservation. The Arawapa goat and other heritage breed animals are the subject matter for a new photo project I am working on. I am visiting Missouri Farmers that are raising rare breeds of livestock and poultry in the hopes to do a book featuring these farmers and animals, while raising awareness and funds for farm animals in danger of extinction.
